Summer Game Fest 2022 Recap

Here’s what was shown and announced during Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest Live 2022

Geoff Keighley presented his 2022 Summer Game Fest live stream Thursday, showing new games, trailers, gameplay and more.

The show lasted about two hours and more than 30 titles were shown.

Though the show was said to be focused on updates and news on previously announced games, big announcements at the show included Aliens Dark Descent, Stormgate and a release date for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge.

Earlier in the day, Sony’s remake of The Last of Us, dubbed The Last of Us Part 1, was leaked as being in development for PS5 and PC. It’ll be out Sept. 2, 2022 and is available for pre-order now.

The official reveal came at the end of the live stream, meaning it was meant to be the big reveal, so the timing of the leak is unfortunate, but the new version of the game that we called a masterpiece is looking phenomenal.

You can watch a replay of the show below or check out our list of everything that was shown, with links to trailers and footage where available.

Here’s a recap of everything shown and discussed during the show. Keep in mind this is meant to be a recap of the highlights of the show and not a comprehensive recap. Also, some of this information may not be new, but if it’s big enough to highlight and was discussed on the show, it’ll be included below.
